Ramon & Elisa, Our Current Season
February 26, 2026
May God richly bless you.
It has been some time since I last sent a personal update. I have shared operational reports, but it has been a while since I have informed you about our reality as the Mendoza family. I would like to share with you where Elisa and I are at this moment.
- Elisa and I are serving in the Californias (Baja California and California), along the west coast of Mexico and the United States. Three years ago, we established our operational office in this region of the west coast of the American continent. We are permanent residents of Mexico and divide our time between Rosarito and San Diego.
- We continue serving in Latin America as co-leaders of DCPI Latin America, alongside Pastor Otoniel Mendoza and his Leadership Team. My role is to serve as a regional ambassador and to assist in the transition and establishment of this new leadership before organizations and in new Church Planting initiatives. In addition, I represent the region at the Central Office in Oceanside whenever requested.
- I have also joined the pastoral team of Ocean View Church Español as a part-time Associate Pastor. The primary purpose of this role is to remain actively engaged in the exercise of my ministry gifts, honoring the centrality of the local church and serving missionally within a local congregation.
- As a Senior Master Trainer with DCPI, I continue participating in training sessions in every Latin American country that opens its doors to us, as well as in Hispanic regions that invite us to teach and help develop Church Planting Movements.
- At this time, our family is spread out, working and serving in different places: in Panama (Alexandra and Beltrán), Puebla, Mexico (Ruth), Tijuana, Mexico (Otoniel and Joice), and San Diego, USA (Abigaíl and Connor). In addition, Faith, our spiritually adopted daughter, is serving in Virginia, USA.
- Elisa and I hold U.S. Nonimmigrant Religious Worker Visas, which allow us to serve legally and travel without difficulty before the immigration authorities of both Mexico and the United States.
- Our health is fully in God’s hands and under control. Our medical insurance has been a blessing, and at this stage of life, as ministers and missionaries, God has used it to ensure a steady and secure provision of medications. Elisa and I have reached our sixties, and we continue traveling together to serve God wherever He sends us to teach.
In light of all this, we ask that you continue to uphold us in prayer and spiritual support. We remain Venezuelans, and as you know, this reality can carry particular sensitivities in certain circumstances or countries throughout the Americas.
At this time, please pray for wisdom regarding immigration processes and decisions. Pray for opportunities to continue teaching and mentoring in the planting of churches and the development of Church Planting Movements. And pray that God will continue to be faithful in His provision and financial sustenance for our marriage, our ministry, and our service wherever He has placed us and wherever He leads us to fulfill our assignment.
Thank you for always being there. We deeply value your prayers and financial support, but even more than that, we treasure your friendship and your commitment to the Lord in caring about all that we do.
Blessings,
Our dear family.
Ramón & Elisa Mendoza
